Since CB750 found a new home, I have been looking for a fuel efficient bike.  While surfing CraigsList, I found a 09 Kawasaki Ninja 250R with a bit over 12,000 miles.  It had a few problems, but nothing I can’t fix.  So got the bike for nice $$.

5年くらい前の話であるが、カアちゃんの親父が脳卒中にあって、一時は死ぬかと思われた。しかし、今は大分回復しほとんど普通の生活に戻った。しかし、まだ運転が出来ない。そのため、4年ほど前に彼のトラックを私は譲り受けた。
トラックは荷台があってとても便利である。小生の通勤はオートバイであるからトラックを使うのは週末や休暇のときである。この小さな日本車のトラックには、小さな横向きになった後部座席がある。4年前はこの後部座席に長男はすんなり座れるサイズであったのだが、昨年のクリスマスに家族4人でこのトラックを使ったときは、窮屈そうであった。
4時間もそこに座らせていた小生もかわいそうになってしまい、「来年のクリスマスまでには、もう少し楽な旅行しようね。」と言ってその場をしのいだ。
この言葉がそれ以来自分の脳裏を頻繁に横切るようになった。そのため、個人売買のサイトCraigslistを通して、売りに出すことを決心。4月のある日売りに出した。
出勤前の朝6時に投稿。勤務先で9時に個人のメールアカウントを空けてみるとすでに4つのメッセージが入っている。一人一人に電話で話をしてみると、この中の四人が「買う」といってきた。まだ試乗もしてないのに….ということで4時間で車は売れてしまった。
Good Bye, 幸せな思い出をいっぱい荷台に積んだトラックよ。
