recently i sold the frontier on craigslist. with that money, i bought a toyota 4 runner. it is in very good shape for its year and high miles. but it needs some tlc in some areas. first thing i did was to paint the center caps for the wheels.
the above is the before photo. as you can see the silver paint has peeled from the plastice center piece and i can see the yellow bare plastic. i went to the WallyWorld and bought spray cans, a white primer, a metalic silver, and a clear coat.
i gave it a light fine sanding and washed it with thoroughly with water with light detergent. dried it really well.
i gave a many light coats of primer, metalic silver, and clear coat, drying it in between. now it looks like a stock, doen’t it.
