　【ニューヨーク２３日共同】米テキサス州南部のテキサスシティーで２３日午後１時２０分（日本時間２４日午前４時２０分）ごろ、英石油大手ＢＰの製油所で大規模な爆発が起き、ＢＰ関係者によると、少なくとも１４人が死亡した。
　同関係者によると、� 傷者数は周辺住民も含めて１００人以上。このうち７０人以上は製油所内にいた従業員らとみられる。
　爆発はガソリン精製施設で発生した。捜査当局が原� を調べている。テロの可能性についてＢＰ広� �担当者は「捜査の焦点ではない」と否定的な見方を明らかにした。
　爆発があったのは１日約４３万バレルの原油を精製する大規模製油所で、従業員は１８００人。
　テキサス州では昨年３月にヒューストン近郊のＢＰの製油所で、同４月にも米石油大手エクソンモービルの製油・化学施設で事故とみられる爆発が起きた.
