JJ and Dad went up to a country side on Labor Day. JJ had his first shootin’ experience.

We put a diet coke can about 20-30 yard away and used it as a target. We had a blast!

アメリカでは簡単に銃が買えたり、使えたりするんですね。この日は9歳（3年生）の息子に初めてライフルをにぎらせてみました。なぜかというとですね、アメリカで生活すると、銃って以外に� �繁に目にするものです。家には銃はありませんが、子供が友達のうちに行って銃を見かけることもあるでしょう。そのときに子供がどうしたらいいのか教育するべきです。もちろん一番大切なことは銃には絶対に触れないこと。また、友達にも触れさせないこと。友達が銃に触り始めたらすぐに大人に言うこと。大人がいなかったら、逃げることなど。
しかし子供は銃に対して好奇心が強いものです。ですので、大人がいないところでその好奇心を満たすのではなく、大人と一緒に銃を触り、使い方を習い、好奇心を満たすのが一番安全なのではないでしょうか。
