Since CB750 found a new home, I have been looking for a fuel efficient bike.  While surfing CraigsList, I found a 09 Kawasaki Ninja 250R with a bit over 12,000 miles.  It had a few problems, but nothing I can’t fix.  So got the bike for nice $$.

one of the last piece of the puzzle was the wireless connection to the gx400. i found a belkin G usb wireless adaptor not being used. i plugged it to the box, but the it did not have the driver for it. so i downloaded the driver from this page and installed it.

after installing the above driver, i shut the box down. then plugged the usb adapter. the box recognized the adapter immediately. all i had to do was to type in the WIFI password.

kiki wanted to watch hulu on it and she has a multimedia box just for her.

of course my wife cursed at me for bringing in yet another another
computer into the house. but then i told her that she wanted to watch
hulu video on our big screen tv. so i told her that i bought it for
her. she didn’t (and still doesn’t) believe that i paid $20 for it.

so last night, installed the mythbuntu (http://www.mythbuntu.org/) on
it, updated it, etc. now she has a computer that she can watch hulu
on our big screen tv.

my next goal is to find a cheap tv tuner so we can use it as a dvr.

yes, it is july… that means i get to take some vacation time, not that i have anywhere to go, but i’ve got plenty of things to do.

first of all, i was able to sleep in until 8:30. boy, did i feel good.

next, started to change out vsv on 97 camry. i have struggled to remove a stupid bolt last two hours and it is still not out. i will get back to it after lunch. i hope to get it done today, so that it will pass the state inspection.

but, on my vacation eve, i finally got dell to dual boot into kalyway 10.5.2 and vista. i’m quite happy about that.

This is THE BEST coffee I have ever tasted. I bought this bag of beans at Bangkok Airport. I should have bought 2 or 3 bags. (Be careful buying a lot of coffee beans. The customs officials see bringing a lot of coffee means you are hiding some drug, especially from Thailand.)

Right now, I just grind it and use the french press to brew the java. I am very content with that. It has great aroma and great dark roast taste.

日頃の行いがよろしいのか（んなはずないでしょ！）今回ラッキーなことに非常口の列に席をゲットー！　（うるせえ！ビジネスクラスでいつも飛んでるやつにゃ俺の気持ちわかれねえんだよ！）真ん中の席でしたが、わたくしにとりましてはそば殻の枕からダウンの枕に変わったような気持ちでございました。

I must be living right. I’ve got the exit row on this flight. Although it was the middle seat, still it was a big upgrade for me.

右の席には無愛想なアメ人姉ちゃん。左にはおしゃべりアメ人兄ちゃん。左の兄ちゃんとは色々と喋ったが、右の姉ちゃんにも話しかけてあげないと悪いかなぁ〜と何回かそちらを覗いたのだが、ぶす〜っとしてはって、声かけるの怖くなっちゃいました。

There was an American lady to my right. And to my left, there sat an American business man.

しかし、一つ面白い発見。これは昔からも気になってたんですが…　機内食でご飯の上にシャケがのった物とサラダが出ました。私は本能的にフォークで食べ始めたんですが、姉ちゃんも兄ちゃんも、お箸で食っとります。そう、サラダもね。これは、自分がお箸が使えるという見栄なのでしょうか？それとも家庭でもお箸でサラダを食されているのでしょうか？そうなのであれば、だいぶ東洋文化の理解が的外れなような気がするのですが….

I want to share some interesting observation. During the dinner, a salad, salmon on rice, and other things were served. Both Americans ate everything with provided CHOPSTICKS!!!! Me? Of course, I eat salad with a FORK! So I ate the salmon with a fork, too. Why do they have to feel like they need to eat using chopsticks? I wondered if they ate salads with chopsticks at home. If so, they are really misunderstanding Asian culture.

話は変わりますが、McHotDogのMega Sausageってのめちゃ気に入っちゃいました。指でOK朝食としてはいけてます！でも、日本のマックのコーヒーはちっちゃいね。Mサイズって、アメ国のSサイズと変わんないじゃん。それに、カップいっぱい（うえぎりぎりまで）入れてくれないし。

I went to McD for breakfast. And their new McHotDog called Mega Sausage. I’m Loving It. One disappointment is that the size of coffee. The biggest coffee they have is size M, which is as small as American size S. Hearing my complaint, my Japanese friend reminded me that the U.S. sizes are oversized, not Japan. (But, they only put the coffee only 2/3 of the way. I needed some coffee!!!! arrrrrgh!)

ちょっとした都合でヒュー市の空港で搭乗待ち。13時間の旅、気が遠くなりそうです。

Waiting for a flight at IAH, Houston Intercontinental Airport. I am NOT looking forward to another 13-hr flight. sigh….
